Dr. Katy Martin
Medical Director-Wimberley
Dr. Martin is a graduate of the University of Minnesota–go Golden Gophers! She is passionate about cardiology, neurology, behavioral medicine, exotic pets, hospice & end-of-life care. Herding dogs and sighthounds hold a special place in her heart, thanks to her mini Aussie named Leo and Silken Windhound named Pilot.

Founder
Dr. Walker is a graduate from Texas A&M University–gig ‘em, Aggies! He opened Apollo Veterinary in 2021, named after his beloved Border Collie and his grandfather. He also adopted a cat named Pegasus (Peggy) with cerebellar hypoplasia–she lives in the clinic now, and goes everywhere with him! Dr. Walker loves surgery, dermatology, and growing Apollo Vet to be the best it can be.

Dr. Candace Hord
Dr. Hord is a graduate of Auburn University–War Eagle! She is passionate about surgery, internal medicine, and dermatology. And she’d never say no to a puppy or kitten appointment! She has shepherds at home–Opal the Australian and Athena the German.
Dr. Sameer Modak
Dr. Sammy Rapoli
Dr. Rapoli comes to us from New York, and is now a Wimberley resident along with her six pets! She’s a graduate of Texas A&M University and a huge fan of A&M football! Her favorite cases to see are surgeries, oncology, and puppies and kitten wellness exams! She’s got a big heart and a VERY loyal following on our Instagram!
Dr. Lindsey Walker
Say hello to Dr. Lindsey Walker! She’s a graduate of TAMU CVM and is excited for days filled with internal medicine, surgeries, and emergency care. At home, she cares for a pack of rescues: Chiquita (a.k.a. Chicken), her Yorkie; Sloane, the sassy tabby; Banksy, a senior Alaskan Husky; and Kirajean, a herding mix.
Dr. Maya Leifheit
Maria
Director of Operations
Meet Maria, our Director of Operations! She helps to keep the Apollo ship running smoothly between all of our locations. She also loves to jump in and help on the treatment floor whenever she is needed, making her a jack-of-all-trades! She has a menagerie of dog breeds at home–a Yorkie named Pina, a German-Shorthaired Pointer named Oakley, a Dalmatian named Pepper, and a terrier mix named Ginger (that she rescued here at Apollo!).
Allie
Practice Manager – South Austin
Meet Allie, our newest Practice Manager at Apollo Veterinary South Austin! She absolutely lights up during healthy puppy and kitten exams and embodies our commitment to always finding a way to help every pet that walks through our doors. At home, she’s mom to Ellen, a 10-year-old Weimaraner mix she’s loved since puppyhood after her aunt rescued her from the roadside, and Buck, a 3-year-old Pyrenees mix who came from a friend’s accidental litter – proving that the best family members often come from the most unexpected places!
Chrissy
Client Concierge
Meet Chrissy! As our client concierge, she’s one of the first faces you’ll encounter when you walk into our South Austin hospital. Chrissy brings the intense Apollo energy to work every day, and makes every person and pet that comes through our doors an instant friend! She’s also heavily involved in our Apollo events and a contributor to our Instagram! She has a Red Heeler puppy named Kevin that joins her at work every day.
Lindsey
Director of Marketing and Community Manager
Lindsey is our marketing manager at Apollo Vet, as well as the community relations liaison for our whole hospital group! She loves being a part of growing the Apollo Vet team, whether that means interviewing new team members, working with local businesses, running our social media accounts, or interacting with our clients in and outside of the clinic. She has a yellow Lab who is appropriately named Wimberley.
Dan
Dan is our fantastic Facilities Technician and a Vet Tech in training at Apollo! He loves connecting with our amazing clients and their furry family members, and he’s always soaking up knowledge from the talented team around him. At home, Dan is proudly outnumbered by his four fabulous cats—Cocoa, Gracie, Luna, and Wednesday. Fun fact: he’s been to 25 countries and has the stories to prove it!
Dani
Veterinary Technician
We’re sure you’ve met Dani if you’ve been at Apollo Vet in either Wimberley or South Austin! Dani’s skills as a technician are elite, but she has particular interest in exotics, holistic medicine, and end-of-life care. She is Fear Free certified and is even earning her CAETA certification to further help our clients when they’re making the tough decision to say goodbye to their pets. She has two dogs at home, Maggie and Maple!
Olivia
Veterinary Technician
Meet Olivia! Her undergraduate degree in animal behavior makes her great at helping our more anxious or fearful pets when they visit our clinic. She loves getting to form long-term relationships with our clients as they continue to visit Apollo, caring for animals in every life stage, and helping out with inventory in the back-of-house! She has a Border Collie named Willow, and also fosters dogs with local shelters.
Des
Lead Veterinary Technician
Des started as lead tech at Apollo Wimberley, but has helped our new location at South Austin get on its feet! You’ve probably seen her rocking out in surgery, helping hospitalized patients, or working with our regular appointments. Her favorite kind of appointments are ears and porcupine quills! She’s got an Aussie Doodle named Stella, a Maine Coon named Putin, and a bearded dragon named Cheeto.
Rachael
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Rachael is a licensed veterinary technician who loves a good challenge, especially when it involves client education and helping pets live their best lives. Her favorite kinds of cases are nutrition and end-of-life care. She has three American Pit Bull Terriers named Boondock, Zeus, and Irie.
Keisha
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Keisha is a licensed veterinary technician who loves seeing all kinds of animals, even exotic pets! She also loves client education and staff training, helping all members of your pet’s care team to know what they need to be their happiest, healthiest selves. She has an entire ZOO at home–three cats (Buttercup, Sunshine, Tabby), a sulcata tortoise (Eleanor SHELLstrop), and a crested gecko (Geks).
Lorena
Lorena started with Apollo Vet as a technician assistant and quickly grew to lead tech and eventually our Wimberley Practice Manager! She loves to help the team wherever she can, and teach/train every new Apollonaut. If your pet is ever hospitalized for the day, there’s a good chance Lorena is helping to take care of them! Some of her favorite emergencies are rattlesnake bites and porcupine quills! She has a Yorkie named Bandit and a Chihuahua named Eevee.
Cloie
Veterinary Technician
If your dog has ever had a run-in with a porcupine, Cloie has probably helped them out! Removing quills is one of her favorite parts about the job! She also loves surgery and feline dentals. She started at Apollo as a technician assistant and quickly moved up to technician, but is hoping to go to vet school some day! She has a spoiled Labradoodle named Jolene and a cute little kitten named Stevie.
Vianka
Vianka is a dedicated Veterinary Technician with a passion for puppy and kitty exams, ear cytologies, ear cleanings, and dental care. She loves helping animals feel their best and is especially fond of her rescued mutt, Ami. With her hands-on experience and compassionate approach, Vianka ensures every pet gets the best care possible.
Anais
Veterinary Technician
Anais started with us as an incredible technician assistant, but moved her way up to veterinary technician with the hopes of getting into vet school soon! She helps the entire staff to keep things moving smoothly on the treatment floor, and goes wherever she is needed! She especially loves wrangling our spicy cat patients, and assisting with our diabetics when they’re here for glucose curves. She doesn’t have any pets of her own at home, but she does foster kittens!

Veterinary Technician
Say hello to Lily! Lily started with us as a technician assistant, but quickly grew into the role of veterinary technician! Her favorite part about working at Apollo is her coworkers. She loves being able to depend on them if she needs help, but also to brighten up the day when it gets tough! Lily has 3 dogs named Pudge, Tank, and Chubz, and a cat named Toothless!
Phoebe
Veterinary Technician
Phoebe is one of our veterinary technicians! She’s incredible at client communication and takes time to explain the “why” when our clients have questions. She loves getting to practice and develop new technical skills, and following through with our patients through their diagnostics and treatments. She also enjoys getting to see all the cool surgeries we do at Apollo Vet! She has a German Shepherd-Poodle named Scarlet and a Chocolate Lab named Fynn.
K'la
Veterinary Technician Assistant/ Client Concierge
K’la is a compassionate Technician Assistant and Concierge with a soft spot for oppressed breeds—she’s always rooting for the underdog! At home, she has a lovable crew: Cassie, a Cattle Dog mix, Sally, a Chihuahua mix, and Kobe, a Russian Blue cat. K’la is also a busy mom of two, a 5-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl, proving that her heart has room for both pets and toddlers!

Veterinary Technician Assistant
Meet Jennifer! She has joined our team as a technician assistant with the goal of becoming a LVT in the future! She’s still new to the team but Iis looking forward to learning more about surgeries and seeing the kittens and puppies brought our way! Jenn loves the fun, positive dynamic that Apollo embodies! She currently has a sweet Calico, Dalí and plans to add one more soon.

Say hello to Alyssa H.! Alyssa is a technician assistant who loves working with kittens. Her cat, Fig, was actually brought home from Apollo on one of her first weeks with us!
Bentley
Bentley is one of our lovely technician assistants. She is a student at TAMU and spends her holiday breaks working at Apollo with the ultimate goal to attend vet school! Bentley has a sweet rescue named Echo and a Border Collie named Tuff.
Samanta
Veterinary Technician Assistant
Sam is a technician assistant who loves surgery days at Apollo—they’re the most fun to watch and full of learning! At home, Sam hangs out with Pumpkin, an adorable orange cat with plenty of personality.
Emilie
Emilie is a veterinary technician with a soft spot for ears, abscesses, and all things animal care. Her furry family includes Eleanor Rigby the dachshund mix, Julia the chihuahua mix, Whiskey the lab mix, and Olive Oil the cat. When she isn’t at Apollo, you can find her bouldering! We’ll “hang” out with her any day!
Moriah
Veterinary Technician
Moriah is a veterinary technician who loves being in surgery but is also enjoying getting back to the basics of pet wellness. She has two dogs: Hazel, her spunky little old lady Yorkie, and Lana, a terrier mix she fostered (then failed at fostering) after Lana was rescued with a broken leg.
Mireya
Say howdy to Mireya! Mireya is a veterinary technician who values the supportive team and genuine care everyone at Apollo gives to each patient. At home, she’s a proud dog mom to Sage and Wynter. We enjoy having her and her great sense of humor on the team!
Viktoria
Viktoria thrives on the adrenaline of emergency triage and surgery, bringing her A-game when pets need her most! When she’s not saving lives at the clinic, you’ll find her making a splash with her yellow labs, Lionel and Rosie—and yes, she and Lionel are basically celebrities after competing at Westminster and getting the ESPN spotlight for their epic dock diving skills. Talk about a dynamic duo!

Welcome to the team Alyssa N.! Alyssa is a technician assistant who loves spending her days with the adorable pets at the clinic. When she’s not working, she’s hanging out with Reggie, her playful little hamster.

Meet Aubrey, our Wimberley Client Concierge who thrives on witnessing the incredible bond between pet parents and their furry family members every single day. At home, she’s surrounded by Bagira, the world’s most accomplished professional cuddler (and coolest cat around), and Blue, a natural-born model who never met a camera she didn’t love. When Aubrey isn’t helping clients navigate their pet care journey, you’ll find her being the perfect photo assistant for Blue’s impromptu modeling sessions!
Julie
Meet Julie, our Client Concierge who delights our patients almost as much as she loves crafting the perfect pup cups! At home, she’s the proud mom of a diverse crew: four cats (including melon-shaped Bonnie who serves as her personal weighted blanket, wise Clyde, social butterfly Gus, and fetch-playing Frog), two betta fish, and one exceptionally polite ball python she’s raised since she was just a hatchling. Julie’s house is basically a zoo where nap time is sacred, fetch happens indoors, and even the snake has impeccable manners!
